Summer break is almost here!

Dear Parishioners,

First off, congratulations to our First Holy Communicants!  It was a joy to have five young ladies and gentlemen receive Jesus on Divine Mercy Sunday!

Second, we are quickly approaching the end of another school year, and I wanted to let you know about some upcoming events at the parishes.  See below for details.

May Crowning: May 3rd

Ascension Thursday (Holy Day of Obligation): May 14th

St. Mary Dedication Day celebration: June 7th – 8:00 am Mass with party immediately following at the park

Corpus Christi procession: June 7th – 11:00 am Mass with procession following

Holy Land Olive Wood sale: July 18-19th

Please note that I will be gone for parts of the summer for the mission trip, camp, retreat, and vacation:

New Mexico Trip:  May 24-29th

Sky Camp:  Late Afternoon of June 7-9th

Retreat:  July 1-9th

Vacation: July 27th – August 7th

Third, I am grateful to all those who continue to support the mission of St. Joseph and St. Mary’s!  Your generosity in giving of your time, talent, and treasure has helped to make our parishes a place of joy to encounter Jesus Christ.  As an update, financially, St. Mary’s remains fairly steady in its budget for the year, with only being $3,000 behind.  St. Joseph is about $13,000 behind at this time, which will create a shortfall for the year and require dipping into emergency savings.
