Parish Mission

Dear Parishioners,

We welcome Fr. Joseph Tuscan to our parishes to give a parish mission.  Father Tuscan was born in Columbus, OH, in 1967 and was raised in Canton, OH.  In 1990, he professed his first vows as a Capuchin Franciscan friar with perpetual vows in 1993.  He was ordained to the priesthood in 1997.  His first assignment after ordination was in Papua New Guinea in the South Pacific, where he served for four years.  Returning to the US in 2001, he has ministered in various capacities as a parochial vicar and pastor, as well as a military and hospital chaplain; he also served in our Province's Custody of Puerto Rico.  Fr. Joseph currently serves as the Director General of the Archconfraternity of Christian Mothers and is engaged in full-time preaching ministry for the Capuchin Province of St. Augustine, offering retreats and reflection days for parishes, Religious, and Priests. He can be viewed on several YouTube channels and has appeared on Catholic Radio and TV outlets.

Fr. Tuscan will be presenting at the parish from Saturday morning Mass to Tuesday evening Mass with the induction to the Christian Mothers and celebration at the parish hall.  We will be blessed to have two relics at the parish during this time.  The relics of St. Padre Pio and Blessed Solanus Casey will be available at St. Joseph for public veneration.  Topics of the parish mission include: The Greatest Threat to Holiness Today, and Pray, Hope and Don’t Worry.  Please note that Fr. Tuscan will be available Monday and Tuesday morning for confessions and spiritual direction for those who are interested.  A sign-up sheet will be in the back of the Church.

This mission is intended for the spiritual formation of teens and adults.  Please share this with your neighbors and friends!  See the next page of the bulletin for more information on dates and times of events.

May God bless our parish during this time!
