What are the best flowers to get mom on Mother's Day? I’ll let you think about it 😊
I was watching a few highlights from this year's 2026 Oscars when an incredible acceptance speech by Jessie Buckley floored me. In her speech, she celebrated the “beautiful chaos” and the “complex heart” of a mother, dedicating her win to the experience of motherhood. She thanked her husband, calling him an “incredible dad, her best friend,” and her desire to have 20,000 more babies with him! On a platform that often promotes putting your career before anything else, she highlighted that the unpredictability of life as a mother can actually contribute to a successful career.
I, too, want to emphasize the gift of motherhood that all our women share. You are the ones who teach us patience and compassion. In your arms, we first experienced the tangible, unconditional love of God. We thank you for encouraging us and finding joy in the small things we share with you. For your sacrifices and for placing our needs above your own personal comfort. Soothing us when afraid and directing us when mistaken. We thank you for never giving up on us! May God bless each one of you!
